Scope of Work
3. The Ministry of Information Communication Technology and Postal Services (MICT&PS) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for matching investments from EARDIP for the design, supply and owner operation of the approximately 397 km backbone terrestrial fibre optic cable (FOC) along the Juba, Nadapal road corridor (to the border with Kenya), with a minimum 17 Points of Presence (POPs) and aggregation points along the route that are designed to support the interconnection of commercial traffic from several major cities and communities served by Mobile network operators (MNOs) and to facilitate last-mile connectivity by MNOs and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to a number of named public institutions (schools, health centres and governmental locations) within a 10 km radius on both sides of the corridor. The total contract duration between the commencement date and contract completion date is 12 months.
Requirements & Qualifications
The Bidder shall demonstrate that it has successfully completed, or substantially completed, during the last three years, at least one of the following: - One contract for fiber optic or similar telecommunications/connectivity infrastructure with a value of not less than US$6,000,000; or - Two similar contracts, each with a value of not less than US$3,000,000.
