Shoprite Nigeria (Retail Supermarkets)

Shoprite Nigeria (operating as Retail Supermarkets Nigeria Limited) was historically the Nigerian operation of South African retail giant Shoprite Holdings. The first Shoprite store in Nigeria opened in Lekki, Lagos in December 2005 and the brand grew to 25 stores across Nigeria. In August 2021, Shoprite Holdings sold its entire Nigerian operation to Ketron Investments, a Nigerian investor group, which continues to operate the stores under the Shoprite brand pending rebranding. The Lagos Shoprite stores remain among Nigeria's most-visited formal retail destinations in malls including Ikeja City Mall, The Palms Lekki, Circle Mall, and Novare Lekki.
