Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's most famous wildlife destination, a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering 14,750 square kilometres of savannah hosting the annual Great Migration of 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and 400,000 gazelles. Managed by Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), Serengeti generates significant tourism revenue and is among the world's most iconic wildlife ecosystems.
