Okomu Oil Palm Company

The Okomu Oil Palm Company PLC is a major Nigerian oil palm producer and one of the largest integrated palm oil operations in Nigeria, listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX: OKOMUOIL). The company operates approximately 19,000 hectares of oil palm plantations and 5,700 hectares of rubber plantations in Okomu, Edo State, adjacent to the Okomu National Park. Incorporated in 1976 as a federal government project, Okomu was privatised in 1990 and is now majority-owned by SOCFIN (Société Financière des Caoutchoucs) of Luxembourg. Okomu is consistently among the most profitable listed Nigerian agribusinesses and plays a significant role in Nigeria's palm oil import substitution drive.
