Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company

Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company PLC (IBEDC) is one of 11 Nigerian electricity distribution companies (DisCos) privatised in 2013 from the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) reforms. IBEDC serves approximately 2.6 million customers across Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Kwara, and parts of Kogi, Niger, and Ekiti states, covering a substantial portion of South-West Nigeria. The company has faced significant operational and commercial challenges typical of the Nigerian power sector including aggregate technical, commercial, and collection (ATC&C) losses, but is one of the largest DisCos by customer base in Nigeria.
