Britam Holdings PLC is a diversified financial services group based in Nairobi and listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE: BRIT). Britam operates across insurance (life, general, and health), asset management, property, and banking in seven African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Mozambique, and Malawi). The group traces its origins to 1965 as the Kenyan operations of British-American Insurance. Britam Asset Managers is one of Kenya's largest fund managers, and the group has been a significant player in Kenyan real estate development through Britam Tower in Upper Hill (one of Nairobi's tallest skyscrapers and the group's headquarters).
